Iconic design from 15 years inspiration trips by Howest.
Industrial Product Design (IPO) at Howest University College composed a unique exhibition for Kortrijk Design Week. Design Miles shows innovative, surprising and often iconic products of big brands, top design studios, start-ups... visited during 15 years of study visits throughout the world.
More than 400 Howest product design students travelled the world from San Francisco to Tokyo from London to Berlin. They visited hundreds of Industrial Design companies and got the opportunity to talk to design gurus, to look behind the screens... Company visits, philosophies and designers colored the design vision and shaped roadmap for research and education at Howest IPO.
Howest wants to thank all the companies and share their knowledge and visi- on with the big public via Design Miles. Thirty products of top design consultan- cies like Ideo, Lunar, GK Design... can be admired. Big brands like BMW, Herman Miller, Apple, Kartell, Alessi... are present. But also products of start-ups, trendsetters, Belgian design agencies and niche industries like Shure, Gaia&Gio, Ottobock...
